1. Tournament Participation
By registering for Carnegie's Open Golf Championship, you agree to:
- Abide by the Rules of Golf as set by the R&A
- Follow all tournament-specific rules as communicated by the committee
- Maintain a valid golf handicap
- Conduct yourself in a sportsmanlike manner at all times
- Respect fellow players, caddies, and course staff
- Follow all golf course rules and regulations
2. Payment Terms
- The tournament fee must be paid in full before the published deadline
- Payment is accepted via Wise (bank transfer)
- The fee covers green fees, carts, caddies, transport, meals, and social events as outlined on the Payment Information page
- Accommodation is not included and must be arranged separately
- Late payments may incur additional charges at the committee's discretion
3. Cancellation Policy
- More than 60 days before the tournament: Full refund
- 30-60 days before: 50% refund
- Less than 30 days before: No refund (costs already committed to courses and venues)
- Cancellations must be communicated in writing to the tournament committee
- Substitutions may be arranged at the committee's discretion
4. Code of Conduct
All participants are expected to:
- Maintain pace of play as directed by the tournament committee
- Submit accurate scorecards and handicap information
- Dress appropriately according to golf course dress codes
- Participate in good spirit in the tournament's social traditions (including fine sessions)
- Respect the local community and culture
- Not engage in any form of cheating, harassment, or unsportsmanlike behaviour
The tournament committee reserves the right to disqualify any player who breaches the code of conduct.
5. Liability
Carnegie's Open Golf Championship and its organisers:
- Accept no liability for personal injury, loss, or damage to property during the tournament
- Recommend all participants have appropriate travel and health insurance
- Reserve the right to modify the schedule, venues, or format due to weather or unforeseen circumstances
- Are not responsible for any costs incurred due to flight cancellations, delays, or travel disruptions
6. Tournament Committee Decisions
All decisions made by the tournament committee regarding rules, scoring, disputes, and conduct are final. The committee reserves the right to amend these terms as necessary, with notice to participants.
